Middle School
Middle School
From autonomy to leadership, from discovery to commitment.
"True education forms the whole person and prepares them to take their place in the world freely."
— Saint John Paul II
Middle School at Heavenly International School is a time of great discovery and deepening, where students consolidate knowledge and broaden their horizons. Here, academic excellence combines with a trilingual education, prepare our students to think critically, communicate confidently, and engage with different cultures.
More than just developing intellectual skills, Middle School is a time for students to grow in values and spiritual formation, strengthening virtues, deepening their friendship with Jesus, and learn to live their faith joyfully and authentically in their daily lives.
The program is comprehensive and dynamic: in addition to academic rigor, our students participate in sports, cultural, and artistic activities that awaken talents, encourage discipline, expand creativity, and foster team spirit.
Our Middle School is the perfect environment for students to explore their identities, understand their growth potential, and recognize the impact they can have on the world. We aim to prepare young people to live with wisdom, courage, and faith in all aspects of life.
Electives:
Discovering Talents with Freedom and Excellence
Education should help each student discover who they are and develop their talents. Therefore, the Middle School curriculum includes a wide variety of elective classes, offering freedom of choice and the opportunity to delve into different areas of interest, such as Gastronomy, Drama Club, Business School, Robotics, Current Affairs, Graphic Design, Financial Education, Pre-Calculus, Languages, and much more.
Elective classes offer more than just expanding knowledge; they are a space for experimentation and discovery. In these classes, students exercise creativity, explore their talents, build intellectual autonomy, and begin to outline paths that can inspire their future personal, academic, and professional choices.
Life Skills - Skills for Life:
In Life Skills classes, students are encouraged to develop essential life skills, including managing emotions, making responsible decisions, overcoming everyday challenges, and setting realistic personal goals.
With educators' guidance, they build development portfolios that record achievements, cultivated strengths, and action plans, fostering personal and academic growth.
Life Skills is more than just a curricular component; it is a path to self-knowledge and life preparation. This program helps each student become more resilient, aware, and capable of turning their choices into opportunities for growth.
"It's not enough to teach how to read.
We must teach how to discern, think, and choose the good."
— Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)
Tutoring and IDP - Paths with Purpose:
Nosso Programa de Tutoria garante acompanhamento pessoal com educadores, psicólogos e tutores, criando espaços seguros de escuta, diálogo e orientação para questões emocionais, relacionais e vocacionais.
Complementando essa jornada, oferecemos o Projeto de Desenvolvimento Individual (PDI), um processo estruturado no qual cada aluno analisa seus pontos fortes, identifica áreas de melhoria e estabelece metas concretas para seu crescimento.
The Individual Development Plan (IDP) provides students with practical tools and guided reflections to help them build self-awareness, take responsibility, and envision their future. This experience enables them to make more confident and informed choices, particularly when identifying their interests and academic paths for high school.

Competitions and Assessments - The Challenge that Shapes:
Na Heavenly International School, acreditamos que os desafios acadêmicos são parte fundamental da formação integral. Por isso, incentivamos nossos alunos a participar de competições e avaliações nacionais e internacionais que estimulam foco, disciplina, estratégia e autoconfiança.
The events and competitions include the Math Kangaroo Test, the Brazilian Public School Math Olympiad (OBMEP), the Brazilian Astronomy Olympiad (OBA), the Spelling Bee, the Mental Calculation Competition, our Poetry Contest, as well as Cambridge Exams, the DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language), the MAP Test, and UN simulations.
We regularly conduct simulations that are aligned with the ENEM (National High School Exam) and other national university admissions exams. These simulations prepare students for universities both in Brazil and abroad. Each challenge we present is not just a test; it serves as invaluable training for life, equipping our students to face the future with confidence, resilience, and excellence.

Beyond the Classroom:
At Heavenly International School, education extends far beyond the classroom. That's why we offer a space for pedagogical experiences that integrate knowledge, creativity, leadership, and values.
Academic fairs, such as the Book Fair and the Science Fair, challenge students to research, present, and engage with diverse audiences, developing critical thinking, communication skills, and the confidence to express ideas.
Artistic and cultural performances foster sensitivity, discipline, and creativity while fostering teamwork and self-confidence. On stage, each student discovers that their voice has value and that their expression can inspire and transform.
Sport, experienced in national and international competitions, is a school of virtues: it teaches persistence in the face of difficulties, respect for rules, and the value of team spirit. Our athletes learn that true victory goes beyond the scoreboard: it lies in character, resilience, and respect for others.
Maker, technology, and cultural projects confront students with real-world challenges, fostering innovation, problem-solving, and applied creativity. They learn to connect theory and practice, transforming ideas into concrete solutions.
Our extracurricular activities expand students' academic, social, and cultural skills, fostering clear communication, responsible behavior, and a commitment to faith and excellence in all areas of life.

Catholic Formation and Social Participation:
During middle school, our students continue to deepen their spirituality through Catholic formation and social participation classes, which combine faith and action.
They carry out concrete charity and solidarity projects, focusing on partner institutions and communities, and are committed to transforming the world around them with the gifts they have received.
You did not choose me, but I chose you, that you should go and bear fruit."
—John 15:16
